Kurao Folk Museum is a facility on the side of the lake where Kakkaku Dam is located. Kakkaku Dam was made on the Yoshida River on an upstream tributary of Arakawa River that flows into Tokyo Bay.

Records of the village that used to be at the bottom of the dam, historic resources, and valuable fossils that prove that the land was once covered by the ocean are put on display.
